Contentment

At times I struggle with being content with things/events in my life. Currently, it's this internship that's been bothering me. But today I think I finally have come to the realization that it's manageable enough, and I can make it through this semester even if it's kinda boring. I've made a truly conscious effort to look for the positive aspects. I am learning lots of practical and clinical things from the PT's that I'm observing. For example on Monday I learned that I don't have a palmaris longus muscle in my right arm. But no worries, we don't really need it. The PT showed me how to test people's arms to see if they have one too. Apparently about 16% of people are missing one palmaris muscle and 9% are missing both palmaris muscles. Interesting? Yes!
Notice the Palmaris Longus muscle on the left side of this picture of the forearm
(just thought I'd help everyone out a bit)

Another good thing about my internship, I continue to get "oooo's and ahhh's" when I talk about going to Delaware for PT school. It continues to reaffirm my decision. I've picked a top notch program. It's nice to hear all the PT's recognize it, and talk about all the great research that comes out of there including studies on stroke patients, pediatrics focusing on cerebral palsy, running techniques, and the list goes on. It makes me more and more excited everyday. The only thing that continues to get me is switching from a Tiger to a Blue Hen... hm. I don't think I'll ever get over that one. I will always be a Tiger at heart!

So I'm pretty sure that the Tiger could swallow that bird whole...

at least you went to clemson for undergrad, the important part where you actually HAD time to go to football games, out late some nights, etc., etc.
