PHOEBE

Dobre Din!
So today when I was outside playing with Phoebe I decided that I would seize the opportunity to video blog with Phoebe....which was requested. So here she is....

I've decided my favorite thing about spring/summer is spending so much time outside. I hate being cooped up inside too long which I guess happens in the winter and when I'm at school since I live in an apartment. Minus all this icky pine pollen right now it is just lovely here. I try to spend as much time as I can outside. Like today I drove with my windows down taking in all the fresh air as I did my errands today. Then I came home and played outside with Phoebe making her feel loved since everyone else was busy. Afterwards I decided to lay out and soak up the warm rays...ahhh. I rode my bike today as well. I just feel more active here. The lifestyle is so much better. Then there was also a couple days ago where Josh and I spent a couple hours in the field playing soccer. I learned so many things! He's so smart! It's going to be hard to go back to that town of...Clemson. But I will go back... not because of school but because of my super cool roommates and my friends. I guess I will just have to be more creative and embrace it while I'm there. I'm going to spend more time in the amphitheater. And it is nice to walk everywhere on campus...it's not so terrible I guess lol. Oh and I definitely have a job serving this summer at Skillets woohoo! But I have to work hostessing this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night...ugh. Oh well it's money...

Video eww....

My first attempt at "video blogging." No laughing allowed (and if I hear of any I will never do it again).

Well I hope everyone liked it. Maybe more to come? We'll see. I don't like listening to myself talk, let alone watching myself...ah. Tomorrow I've got to secure a job for the summer according to Cathy. Which means I have to find a serving job somewhere...I'm hoping Skillets works out because that would be pretty convenient. Other than that I don't have too much else planned over my break except for a haircut...whoa. So I plan on getting a nice tan if the weather will cooperate. I am grateful of where I live, it's just sometimes I get bored of it. I want to be near a bigger city. But for now I'm ok...it's just the end of the summer that always gets me. I guess that means for PT school I will be venturing out to a different state! yes! (no Charleston please Cathy!) I need to stay away from rural upstate SC too. It's not really my fave. I do like Clemson though and all my friends. They are some of the greatest people I know!

3 weeks and 3 days til Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soulmates

These are for you Corey my dear. I found them when I was cleaning out my closet this afternoon while packing to go home. It caused Kelly and I to start reminiscing about spring semester last year and all the good times we had together in 4D4. We miss you!

Ankle Biters (aka small children)

So today Jenny, Kelly, and I googled Australian slang. And wow it was pretty interesting. I thought it would be easy to go to Australia because....I mean they speak english right? wrong! It's pretty different I've discovered. And pretty humorous too (i.e. my title "ankle biters")

here are a few of my favorites so far...

"pub" is a hotel
"ant's pants" is to think too highly of yourself
"biscuit" is a cookie
"brass" is money
"cheerio" is goodbye
"fairy floss" is cotton candy
"oldies" are parents
"sloppy joe" is a cottony fleece-lined sweater
"tea" is the evening meal/dinner
"blower" is the telephone
"dinky-di" is the real thing
