It's Been Too Long My Friends

I would like to sincerely apologize for my lack of entries recently. My life has been, well quite a rollercoaster. I finally have found some spare time to blog. I have worked 8 straight days in a row. I can't believe it. But it's not terrible because I really love my job...alot. They treat me so well. I get to eat whatever I want...for free! And the chefs I work with are super nice and super great for a change. And most of the members are pleasant. Maybe I should just drop out of school and work at Palmetto Bluff forever. Hmmm...tempting.

Tomorrow my brother is graduating. Weird. Is he really old enough already? I feel like that was me just yesterday. Man does time fly. Pretty soon Josh will be up there...omg. I am starting to feel more grownup now which is strange to me. I am in my twenties. I am learning all about wines at work. I am a junior in college. Every time Kyle uses the phrase, "but I'm 18 now..." I roll my eyes. And I prefer to live in an apartment with my friends instead of at home. Could this really have happened already?

My life is turning around it seems. Thank goodness. Corey gets to live with me for 5 weeks, and we get to work together. I am keeping in touch with everyone on a regular basis. I should be able to do 2 weeks of Handycamp for the first time ever this summer. We'll see what happens....

Jalapeños

Currently the right half of my lip and right eye are BURNING! After making my guacamole tonight I guess I touched my mouth and rubbed my eye because I definitely have jalapeño juice in them!!! ahhh!!! Nothing has worked to make it feel better. I guess I just have to let it wear off. Ugh!

On a completely different note, I am missing all of my roommates like crazy. They are the best. I love them. It was so fun to live with all of them. Hopefully we can live together again senior year because that would be amazing. AHHHH ROOMMATES!!! Why did I leave? Why?!?! We all should have stayed...merg.


So today while cleaning out my room I stumbled across my purple kitty cat diary with entries dating from 1994 to 1998. And man were they hilarious. My writing has come a long way (it would be better if you could see my handwriting to go along with them). Some of the entries include:

Oct. 9, 1994 - I went to church. I did Hooked on Phonics. Leigh Ann came.

Jan. 17, 1995 - On the 9th Sarah Beth moved to Tennessee. I am very sad because she moved away. She was my best friend.

Aug. 8, 1995 - I don't like my brother Kyle but I like my little brother Joshua.

May 30, 1996 - Megan is my best friend. Kaitlin is not my friend.

July 23, 1996 - Today I fired Bonnie Willis for babysitting.

May 3, 1998 - Dear Diary, I just decided to start this section to write daily things in. Well, first things first I need to think up a name for you, instead of Dear Diary! How about Dear Mic (which stands for Michele)?

Dear Mic??? Seriously?? Who knows what the heck I was thinking. I guess this shows that I was even weird back then. And that last one was the final entry in the diary. So much for daily entries ha! I've never been good at writing and keeping up with anything on a daily basis. It's something I wish I was better at. I honestly have tried. I just can't seem to remember. Grrr... Maybe if I can get the hang of this blogging thing without having to be reminded to write. Hopefully when I am in Australia in the fall I will be better at keeping up with it.
