The City

Last weekend, my family and I spent 4 days in New York City...and it was FABULOUS! I fell in love with it. None of us had ever been before, except my dad but that was about 35 years ago. I love the fast pace, the variety of stores and attractions, the restaurants, the cold, and the large amount of people. I'm excited that I will be so much closer to it once I move up north this summer...try only 2 hours! ah!

This has been a wonderful winter break. I have been very content being at home with my family. It was nice to get away to a big city, and then return home and have a nice Christmas. Everything seems to be coming together in my life now, which is probably part of the reason I am feeling more content. I am seeing how God is working out his plan for me, and how my prayers are being answered. It is amazing to see how his plan is unfolding in ways that I could not comprehend. Things are coming together for a reason, and this is where the next step of my life is supposed to take place. I am excited for the next phase of my life to start this summer!

Closing and Opening

Senior Year. It gets you thinking. So many decisions. So many changes. So many lasts and so many new beginnings to look forward too. I'm trying to savor and enjoy my last year at Clemson. Just a couple weeks ago we went to our last home football game as students. The atmosphere was magical as always. All the people in orange, the loudness, the excitement, the baby tiger mascot, singing the alma mater with the rooms, and sporting our orange paws on our faces. It really is a great experience that I know I'll miss. It hasn't really hit me yet, but come next year around this time I know it will...
And then this semester I also have to say goodbye to all my international friends that I met. It's going to be so sad to not have them around next semester, especially the Aussie boys. There's no way that the exchange students next semester will top this semester's. I have learned so much by branching out and making all these new friends. I love meeting people from all over the world. It has been such a fun semester...good thing my classes haven't required too much work so I could actually have a social life!
And with these doors closing, hopefully there will be some great new ones opening. I just hope I have learned to appreciate everything I have now and stop focusing and stressing so much about the future. I want to enjoy my senior year, because it has definitely been my favorite time at Clemson over these 4 years. And I still have one more semester to go!
